OneShot

What do i think about Oneshot?

Oneshot is developed by Little Cat Feet and publish by Degica

Oneshot is originally a puzzle game made in rpgmaker. First release in 2014, this very unique puzzle rpg style game has quickly caught my attention as i read the description and review from other people.

Now the game has been remake and was release last year in 9 December 2016 and it is a great remake!

Oh yeah i forgot to explain what the hell am i talking about and what the hell is OneShot.
Oneshot is a puzzle game in rpg style, where you starts solving puzzle and the usual kind of stuff. What make this grabs my attention is the concept behind it. The game is basically permanent. Every single thing you do is permanent, tho there is no choice except for the last 2 ending at the end.

I wont spoil any detail since this is story based game, so i will talk it very general. This game break the fourth wall not through words, but actual action. These puzzles are also based on breaking the fourth wall either searching through you document or move you game window. I am impressed on what a single simple game engine can do to this game alone, and to our own computer, from making files, to actually changing your wallpaper to actually remembering what happen.

The story is also pretty simple, you are the messiah and your job is to take the bulb to the tower in order to save the world. Simple, except you are not the messiah. Play it, i wont reveal anything. Anyway, the story is simple, but the way it execute it powerful, way powerful than i ever thought. Remember this game is permanent, that means once you reach the end, you cant replay it (or maybe there is?). This actually help to get our feeling toward neko and the game actually make sure we actually read the important dialogue from character.. eventually leading us to a dead end.

Overall, i have no regret buying this game, and plus there will be a new update in 20 march which is pretty soon. I totally recommend people to try this game out. If you dont want to buy it, try the original version first at rpgmaker (warning, will have trouble in windows 10).
